Before I get into the subject, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Noelia, and I am a trainee teacher who loves what she does and seeks the same for her students. Of course, to love what you do, you have to know why you do it in the first place.
Euclid was a Greek mathematician and geometer, considered one of the great mathematicians of antiquity and the father of geometry. From the ancient Greek polygraphs it is believed that he was born in Alexandria in the 3rd century BC, and to tell the truth, very little is known about his life. It is said that he began his education in Athens, where he acquired his great knowledge of geometry, in the elaborate school of Plato. He taught at his own school in Alexandria, which was the most important in the Hellenistic world and where he achieved the highest recognition as a teacher. He devoted his whole life to doing what he loved so much and thus became one of the most widely read mathematicians in history. This is his story and our starting point. Do you dare to continue to delve into the geometric perspective applied to the world that Euclid initially promoted?
Here I'll leave you such an interesting video which perfect syntetyze the main reasons why about geometry and the relevance of Euclid's figure.
Kind Regards my little beans,
